Living Better With Diabetes
Our goal is to teach the skills needed to attain independence in Diabetes Management and activities of daily living.
Sessions focus on diet, medication, psychological aspects, exercise and complications. Instruction and support is provided by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals including a Diabetes Nurse Educator and a Registered Dietitian.
Patients may participate in the classes through physician referral, patient self-referral or health care agency referral.
Group classes are offered monthly once a week for four weeks at Henry Community Health’s Main Campus.
There is a small fee for the four-class series which often is covered by insurance. The fee also includes a glucometer.
