Our Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day by physicians, physician assistants and nurses.
We are an accredited Chest Pain Center and have on-call specialists in cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery, pediatrics, internal medicine, urology, obstetrics and gynecology.
The Emergency Department utilizes the St.Vincent Telestroke program for suspected stroke patients. St.Vincent is accredited as a certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center.
We operate on a triage system which means patients who are the most critically ill or injured will be seen and treated first.
If you have a less serious illness or injury, this could mean you will have a longer wait. If at any time you are unsure why you are waiting, please ask a staff member.
Most patients who need to be admitted to the Hospital can be cared for at Henry Community Health Main Campus. However, in the case of certain severe illnesses or injuries, the patient may be transferred to another hospital by ambulance or a medical helicopter for care not available locally.
