At HealthRidge Wellness, you can find fitness and wellness classes designed for a wide range of needs, ages, and abilities. Our goal is to engage and encourage our community members and patients to take control of their health through our programs.

Group Workout Classes

Classes are approximately 45 minutes long. Cost for these class are $50 for 15 sessions and can be mixed and matched with any other group workout class.

Aqua Toning
A water class utilizing hydro bells for the upper body allowing intensified resistance in the water. Aqua Tone also consists of some lower bodywork as well as light cardio.
Body Toning
Engage your whole body in this comprehensive class. Engage in resistance training with Spri weighted bars, core training, and lower body exercise. This class is suitable for beginners up to advanced fitness levels.
Gentle Strength
Enjoy a gentle approach to building up to a higher fitness level in this class. The class is designed to strengthen, tone, and sculpt the whole body. Exercises are simple but effective and include light free weights, Spri weighted bars, and self-resistance. It is ideal for beginner to intermediate fitness levels.
Water Aerobics
Use gentle water resistance to engage in low-impact aerobic activities and toning. The exercises will strengthen the heart while eliminating stress on the body.
“Big” Aquatic
Method (BAM!)
Join this class to gain cardiovascular endurance, muscular toning, and flexibility using big moves that rely on water resistance. This class will be easy on your joints and can be easily modified to fit beginners or more advanced fitness levels.
Gentle Flow
Relax, destress, and enjoy therapeutic movement in this water-based class. All moves are zero-weight bearing and include a large range of motion movements, Tai Chi poses, and stress reduction methods.
Water Walking
Water resistance provides a gentle challenge in this walking-centered class. There will be a variety of movements: forward, backward, and laterally. It is designed for gaining flexibility and improving your gait, so it is perfect for beginners or those who have recently finished rehabilitation.
Prescription-Based Programs
The following special programs and classes are open to any interested community member. These classes/programs are offered occasionally throughout the year based on interest. Preregistration is required to participate. Please reach out to HealthRidge for more details.
AARP UHC Fitness
ARP United Healthcare Medicare Complete & Medicare Supplement Renew Fitness Program is for the older adult with participating AARP Medicare Complete & Medicare Supplement insurance plans. If you are eligible for AARP Complete, you can participate in the HealthRidge Prescription Wellness Program for free, a $50 value.
In order to participate, you will need a prescription from your provider for “Prescription Wellness” along with any relevant diagnoses or restrictions. This is to ensure the best Prescription Wellness program for you since each one is medically-based and designed specifically for your needs, including prioritizing your goals while bearing in mind your medical history and diagnoses. To see if you are eligible for the AARP Medicare Complete Renew Fitness program, do one of the following:

Balance Clinic
Prevent falls by learning to improve balance, coordination and strength. Participants must be age 25+ and not wheelchair-bound.
A free screening is required to assess balance and fall risk. Contact HealthRidge at 765-521-1216 to schedule your assessment.

Yoga 101
Discover yoga in this introductory master class. Learn about the foundations of yoga, including information about its history and philosophy. Class will include learning some basic postures as well as breathing techniques.

HealthRidge Walking Club
The HealthRidge Walking Club is open for Henry County residents and HCH team members ages 13 and up. Enjoy hard-surfaced, moderately paced walks all around New Castle for about 45 minutes.
Class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45-6:30pm. Preregistration is required and can be completed online or by phone at 765-521-1216
