Spring is here and it’s time to get out and move. The HealthRidge Hiking Club offers you the opportunity to hike while enjoying the great outdoors and having fum with your fellow hikers.
Invite your family and friends to join you. You’ll hike through spring flowers and trees. Anyone ages 13 and above (at any fitness level) who enjoys hiking, walking, or the great outdoors, may participate.
Hikes Every Tuesday, Thursday and Some Sundays
This season’s schedule consists of 32 local fitness hikes, every Tuesday and Thursday evening from 6:45-7:30 pm, as well as 6 nature/trail hikes starting Sunday at 3 pm. Sunday hikes include hiking at Summit Lake, Mounds State Park, Forest Ridge Wood, Shrader-Weaver Woods Nature Preserve, Steussy-Williams Prairie/Wallen’s Woods, and Wilbur Wright Fish and Wildlife Preserve.
What To Expect
All hikes are optional. A disclaimer and rules must be signed prior to participation. There is no cost for membership. However, some areas, such as state parks, etc., may have a $7 per car fee associated with entry.
