FREE COVID-19 Drive Through Testing
Free COVID-19 drive-through testing site is now available in New Castle for ages 5 and over. Henry County Health Department and Henry Community Health administer the Indiana State Department of Health COVID-19 Testing Site. The drive-through testing clinic is located at 1007 N.16th St. in the upper level parking lot outside of the HCH Respiratory Clinic.
A converted small outbuilding replaces the tent that served last spring.
Pre-registration Lessens Wait Time
Registration process for the free state COVID-19 testing takes 10-15 minutes if you do it at the drive-through clinic. Pre-registration online greatly reduces your wait time.
Pre-registration is easy at https://scheduling.coronavirus.in.gov/
The Henry County drive-through clinic is open to anyone age 5 and older who lives or works in Indiana. Minors need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
2 Lanes – 2 Windows
You may enter from either 14th or 16th Streets to the parking lot with the driver’s side toward the building. Pull up to the first window to register or to check in if you have pre-registered online. Registration process can take 10-15 minutes so pre-registration is encouraged.
After you have registered/checked in, you will pull forward to Testing. A Care Team member will come to your vehicle window to administer the swab. It only takes a minute.
