Due to the recent flu outbreak Henry Community Health, along with many other central Indiana hospitals, is enforcing the following visitor restrictions:
- No more than two visitors plus one designated caregiver/support person may be present in a patient’s room at anytime.
- No one under the age of 16 may visit the hospital – with the exception of our Women & Children’s Unit where healthy siblings of any age, who have had the flu vaccination, are permitted to visit healthy newborns for one visit.
- Please postpone your visit until you have been symptom free for 24 hours if you have had fever, cough, body aches or a sore throat.
- There are NO RESTRICTIONS on visitors for patients who are near the end of life.
Care Team members at Henry Community Health understand this may be challenging and will keep these recommendations in place only for as long as necessary when influenza is widespread. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as a safe environment is best for patients, visitors and staff.
