After several weeks of surges in COVID hospitalizations and reaching capacity, Henry Community Health welcomed the downward trend of COVID hospitalizations this week.
Henry Community Health started the week with a total census of 45 patients and 14 were COVID+. All 14 patients were unvaccinated. As the week has progressed, we saw a downward trend and are ending the week with a census of 35 with 6 COVID+ patients. Out of the 6 COVID+s, 5 are unvaccinated. We have had 3 COVID deaths this week.
Although the trend is heading in the right direction, we ask the community to exercise the best defense against this virus and get vaccinated. Patients can walk-in to Immediate Care at Northfield Park Mon-Fri 8-5 to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.
HCH will open a COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Clinic on Monday, September 27 at the hospital campus. The clinic will be open Monday-Friday from 8-4:30 pm. Eligible patients may register at ourshot.in.gov or walk-in to receive the COVID-19 vaccine booster. More information on the COVID-19 Booster Clinic is available at hchcares.org.
If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, free testing is available by registering online at ourshot.in.gov or by calling 211. If you are COVID positive and experiencing symptoms, contact your primary care provider.
The best defense against COVID-19 is to get vaccinated. You can also take other measures to mitigate the risk of exposure such as wearing a mask, washing your hands regularly, and social distancing. Go to hchcares.org for more information.
