I was born and raised in Muncie, Indiana. When I’m not working, I am with my family. My husband and I have 3 children, all busy and active in sports. When we aren’t on a volleyball court or at a baseball game, we love to spend time outside: swimming, fishing, and just exploring.
About Katie Lee
Why did you decide to go into healthcare?
I decided to go into healthcare because I wanted to care for others. I started as a Registered Nurse (RN) working in a hospital setting. Although I loved being an RN, I wanted to be more involved in my patient’s care. Therefore, I went back to school to become a family nurse practitioner. As a family nurse practitioner, I get to care for a variety of patients from a newborn’s first office visit to helping an elderly patient transition to hospice. As a family nurse practitioner, I can guide my patients to a treatment that is prioritized just for them. I see patients on their best days and worst. With these visits, I get to build lasting relationships with my patients.
Why did you chose to work at HCH?
I chose to work at Henry Community Health because I believe this organization puts patients first. It is a smaller organization, however, we have resources comparable to larger health systems.
