Rehabilitation Services is conveniently located across the hall from Henry County Center for Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine at Forest Ridge Medical Pavilion.

Aquatic therapy is useful for patients who can not do land based rehabilitation or have chronic muscle and joint pain like fibromyalgia and arthritis. Pool exercise is beneficial because the buoyancy and heat help reduce the stress on joints during exercise. Our 30 x 50 warm water therapy pool is kept at an average temperature of approximately 90 degrees for your comfort. We also have separate dressing rooms for men and women and a handicapped pool chair lift.

Our physical therapists assess joint motion, muscle strength and endurance and performance of activities required in daily living. They also assist with post-operative care and sports medicine injuries. Treatment includes ultrasound, electrical stimulation, soft tissues mobilization, traction, therapeutic exercise, iontophoresis, aerobics exercise, and training in activities of daily living.

Our occupational therapist helps patients relearn activities of daily living after hand injury or arthritis and other problems that interfere with every day activities such as eating, dressing and grooming. Treatments can include help for such problems as carpal tunnel, tendon repairs, wrist and finger fractures. We can also provide custom splint fabrication.
