Welcome Dr. Stephanie Trenkner

Pediatrician Dr. Stephanie Trenkner is joining our practice in September. A Fort Wayne native, Dr. Trenkner comes from a medical family, as her father and two uncles are physicians and her mother was an intensive care nurse.

“I have always been interested in medicine and, with a degree in Health and Exercise Science, I decided to pursue pediatrics so that I could help instill the importance of healthy habits in my patients starting at a young age,” Dr. Trenkner explained.

Dr. Trenkner is board certified in pediatrics and recently completed her pediatric residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center/ Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

“I am excited to be back in my home state of Indiana and look forward to serving the New Castle community,” she added.

Dr. Trenkner received her MD from the Indiana University School of Medicine and a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Physician Office Appointment Updates

Please Wear Your Face Cover Which Could Be A Mask, Bandana or Scarf

All patients coming to an appointment with a Henry Community Health physician office should wear a mask or other face covering as a safety precaution. Our offices are following recommendations from the CDC and Indiana Department of Health. We are spacing out appointments and minimizing the number of patients who can be in our waiting rooms as another safety precaution for social distancing. An office staff member will call the day before the appointment to do a health screening and explain what to do when they come to the appointment.
