In Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery several small (5-10 millimeters) incisions are made. A tiny telescope is attached to a camera that guides the surgeon in repairing the problem.

Patients have smaller incisions, less pain and recover more quickly. Our surgeons were one of the early leaders in adopting this new surgery for their patients. Operations that are now available using laparoscopy include:

  • Appendicitis
  • Gallbladder Removal (Cholecystectomy)
  • Hiatal Hernia
  • Anti-Reflux Surgery (Nissen Fundoplication)
  • Colon Resection
  • Hernia Repair
  • Diagnostic Laparoscopy
