Henry Community Health Named 2021 Most Wired

Henry Community Health has earned the 2021 College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Digital Most Wired recognition for the second year.

HCH is one of nine Indiana hospital systems recognized and certified in both Acute (hospital) and Ambulatory (physician offices) categories.

“It is an honor to be recognized for the second year with this prestigious designation,” said Paul Janssen, HCH President & CEO. “The use of innovative technology is now a vital part of world-class patient care. The Most Wired designation is an important benchmark to compare ourselves to the best in the industry,” Janssen continued.

HCH Chief Information Officer Mike Spencer explained the CHIME Digital Health Most Wired program conducts an annual survey to assess how effectively healthcare organizations apply core and advanced technologies into their clinical and business programs to improve health and care in their communities.

“The continuous efforts by our Information Technology team, providers, clinical and financial professionals make this happen,” said Spencer. “As the healthcare landscape is ever-changing, technology is changing at an even more rapid pace. We continuously look for new ways to use technology and data to support care management, clinical integration, and consumer engagement throughout the entire care continuum.”

More than 36,000 organizations were represented in the 2021 Digital Health Most Wired program and the surveys that assessed the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in healthcare organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry-leading.

Each participating organization received a customized benchmarking report, an overall score and scores for individual levels in eight segments: infrastructure; security; business/disaster recovery; administrative/supply chain; analytics/data management; interoperability/population health; patient engagement; and clinical quality/safety. Participants can use the report and scores to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement. Participants also received certification based on their overall performance, with level 10 being the highest.
