Joshua Underhill, MD

I have been practicing pediatrics since 2000. I have seen many changes in medicine, but a lot of things remain the same. Kids and their families facing challenges is what we work with every day. Our training involved mostly physical illnesses, but like all primary care providers, I have learned to work through developmental and mental health challenges that are becoming more common every year (autism, anxiety, depression.) One of the special joys of pediatrics is seeing kids grow and change, adapting and maturing through everything life throws at them. Pediatrics involves whole families, relating with parents/caregivers and their kids/teens all at once. I hope to practice in our area for many years to come.
About Dr. Underhill
Why did you decide to go into healthcare?
I was fascinated with advanced biology in high school and wanted to work with people, especially children.
Why did you chose to work at HCH?
