About Dreu Doerstler
Why did you decide to go into healthcare?
I love learning and I love people. Becoming a nurse seemed like a good fit!
Why did you chose to work at HCH?
I chose to work at HCH because of its people and its mission. The team here is genuinely committed to caring for others, and that sincerity is evident in everything they do. I was especially drawn to the hospital’s dedication to serving rural communities, which resonates with me given my own values and lived experience. What stands out most is the culture; there’s a shared focus on providing high-quality care, truly listening to patients, and meeting individuals at their point of need. It’s a place where people show up to do meaningful work and that clarity of purpose aligns with my own values as a clinician.
