Indiana has been my home for the majority of my life. I was blessed to have the opportunity to live in Germany for three years as well. My husband and I raised six wonderful children and now we get to enjoy our grandchildren! Last year we purchased farmland and have been building our house by ourselves. We are the first house in Henry County to be completely off grid! When I’m not at activities with the grandkids I enjoy spending time outdoors, playing with our animals, and gardening.

Why did you decide to go into healthcare?
I worked in addiction treatment prior to becoming a nurse. I began to see many pregnant clients who didn’t want to seek prenatal care for fear of being judged. I wanted to make an impact on this issue and obtained my nursing degree where I began working in OB. Eventually I decided that I wanted to do more than nursing and went back to school to become a nurse practitioner. It is very important to me that every patient feels heard each time someone visits me.
Why did you choose to work at HCH?
It is important to me to be a part of the community where I reside. I want to care for friends and neighbors and get to know everyone around me.
