We have some exciting news to share: Henry Community Health has been recognized by Healthgrades as a 2026 Outstanding Patient Experience Award™ recipient — placing us in the top 10% of hospitals nationwide for patient experience.

Healthgrades is the #1 site Americans use to find a doctor or hospital, and this award is determined entirely by patient feedback. That makes it especially meaningful to us.

What This Recognition Means

Each year, Healthgrades evaluates Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey data from nearly 4,000 hospitals, looking at 10 specific patient experience measures — things like staff communication, medication explanations, and facility cleanliness. For 2026, only hospitals with at least 100 submitted surveys and strong overall clinical quality scores were considered.

Earning this award means our patients consistently told Healthgrades they had a positive experience here at HCH. That’s not something we take lightly.

More Than Just One Award

This recognition comes on the heels of several other recent honors, including accolades for patient safety and hip fracture care. Together, these achievements reflect something we’ve been working toward every day: delivering safe, patient-centered care at every step of the patient journey.

We’re especially proud to share that HCH is one of only two hospitals in the entire state of Indiana to receive both the Healthgrades Patient Experience and Patient Safety awards.

In Their Own Words

“Receiving the Healthgrades Patient Experience Award is a tremendous honor and a direct reflection of the compassionate, dedicated care our team provides every single day. This recognition belongs to every nurse, physician, and staff member at Henry Community Health who shows up for our patients and community with excellence and heart.” Cori Morris, Chief Operating Officer

“Patient experience isn’t just a metric — it’s a reflection of how well we listen, communicate, and connect with the people we serve. At HCH, we believe that high-quality care and a positive patient experience go hand in hand, and every member of our team works tirelessly to deliver both.” Shelley Wilson, Chief Nursing Officer

Thank You

Awards like this one don’t happen without the people behind them — our nurses, physicians, and every staff member who pours heart into their work each day. And they don’t happen without patients who take the time to share their experiences.

To our community: thank you for trusting us with your care. We’re honored to serve you.
