Your First Appointment
Biomedical treatment is complicated, and it takes time to develop a treatment plan. If your child has never had biomedical intervention, an hour will be scheduled for your first appointment to review your child’s medical history and overall current health. It is likely that labs will be ordered and an initial treatment plan established.
If your child has already had biomedical intervention, your first visit will still be scheduled for an hour to review these interventions as well as your child’s current status and needs.
A follow up visit lasting 30 minutes will be scheduled to review the labs and move further into a treatment plan that is more specific to your child’s needs.
For your first visit please bring:
- A copy of any forms you received previous to your visit even if you mailed or faxed them to Dr. Carter before the visit.
- Any evaluations or information you think pertain to your child’s health and development.
- All medications and supplements your child is taking.
- Your insurance card.
It probably is wise to bring any comfort items your child needs as it will most likely be a new situation for your child.
Making an Appointment
Our office is open 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Your appointments with Dr. Carter will typically be on a Monday unless you have a significant conflict. You may make an appointment with Dr. Carter by calling 765.599.3400.
If you are a new patient, please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete new patient information. The receptionist will make copies of your insurance card at that time.
Kindly call 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep an appointment. After three missed appointments in a year, without notification prior to appointment time, you may be dismissed from the practice.
Our office does call the day prior to an appointment as a courtesy. However, on occasion these calls are not made so please do not depend on them to remember your appointment.
