Flu Restrictions Now In Place

Effective February 4, 2020  Henry Community Health will be changing their Influenza Recommendations to Restrictions.

As flu cases increase and flu death is on the rise in Indiana, we feel it is necessary to implement these restrictions in order to protect our patients, visitors, and staff.

Our restrictions include:

  • No more than two (2) visitors plus one (1) designated care giver/support person may be present in a patient’s room at any time
  • No one under the age of 16 may visit the hospital
Exception: In the Women and Children’s Unit only healthy siblings, who have had the flu vaccination, of any age are permitted to visit healthy newborns for one visit.
  • If you have a fever, cough, body aches, or a sore throat, please postpone your visit until you have been symptom-free for 24 hours
  • Visitors will be allowed for patients who are near the end of life.

We understand this may be challenging and we will keep these recommendations in place only for as long as necessary when influenza is widespread.  Thank you for your cooperation.
