Marketplace (Obamacare) Enrollment November 1-December 15
The Health Insurance Marketplace (Obamacare) open enrollment is November 1-December 15, 2020 for new and returning enrollees.  You can compare 2021 health plans and prices to your current coverage, update your application with any household or income changes and enroll in a plan.

It’s important to call now to see if your income reduction affects your health insurance for this year and for 2021. Depending on your income change, you may be eligible for increased financial help or need to transition now to another health plan such as Indiana Medicaid or HIP 2.0.

Financial help is available based on family size and income and all pre-existing conditions are covered. The Marketplace/Obamacare also provides benefits such as free preventive health services, prescriptions, laboratory and mental health services. Additional information and the ability to enroll are also available at healthcare.gov.

Henry Community Health and members of Henry Community Health Medical Group are participating in MHS Ambetter and CareSource Just4Me plans for the Marketplace/Obamacare.

Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP)
Low income adults 19-64 may be eligible for the Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP). Financial help based on family size and income.  From November 1-December 15 HIP members have the opportunity to switch to another health plan for 2021.

HIP covers medical expenses such as doctor visits, hospital care and prescriptions and vision and dental care may be provided. Additional information is at HIP.IN.gov.  Henry Community Health and Henry Community Health Medical Group providers are accepting new HIP 2.0 patients and participate in all four plans: Anthem HIP, MHS HIP, CareSource HIP, and MDwise HIP.

Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and Medicaid
This program is for children up to age 19 whose families have slightly higher incomes and may not qualify for other government programs. Depending on the family’s income there may be a small monthly premium payment and co-pay for some services. The program covers medical care such as doctor visits, prescription medicine, mental health care, dental care, hospitalizations, and surgeries at little or no cost to the member or the member’s family.

Traditional Medicaid provides full health care coverage to individuals with low income. This includes people who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, live in nursing homes and intermediate care facilities and residents eligible for home and community-based services such as the aged, blind and disabled.

Henry Community Health and Henry Community Health Medical Group providers participate in CHIP and Medicaid.
