Whether you are a newly diagnosed diabetic or have had diabetes for years our classes provide helpful information. These free classes are held on Monday’s from 1-3 pm at our Primary Care Center at Northfield Park. For information and sign-up call 599.2193.
We have a variety of education programs available to help you learn skills to manage your diabetes. To learn more about our current programs contact Steve Hamilton, Diabetes Educator, at 765.521.1544.
Our free classes offer the expertise of our diabetes educator, a dietitian, pharmacist, and a nurse specializing in wound care from the Advanced Wound Center. The classes meet weekly for one month and teach participants about diabetes self-management.
Diabetes Support Group
Our Diabetes Support Group meets at 1:30 pm on the second Thursday of the month in the Education Center at the HCH Primary Care Campus at Northfield Park.
Counseling sessions are offered at no charge by our Diabetes Educator to help you understand, control and live well with diabetes. There is a fee for diet instruction with a Registered Dietitian.
Women with gestational diabetes will be scheduled to meet with our Diabetes Educator by Antolin & Benninger Obstetrics/Gynecology.
